Channels which are physically unavailable in the active logic analyzer setup are called "virtual channels".
When no trace data is open, disabled channels are hidden and no virtual channels exist.
When trace data is open, virtual channels allow an open trace capture to be viewed after reducing the Active Channels.
Virtual channels also allow project files to be shared created by a logic analyzer model having more physical channels.
Virtual channels use faded colors to indicate their status.
Channel groups which contain one or more virtual channel cannot be used in the TriggerForms or to capture new trace data.
The threshold buttons, transition detectors, and activity indicators are disabled for virtual channels.
