Serial Bus Text: Data Area

The Data Area displays the converted serial bus data in a text format. The text format varies depending on the selected serial bus.

Header Labels

The labels above the data describes the contents of each column.

Active Scroll Position

The Active Scroll Position aligns the Serial Bus Text view with the other data views. By default, all data views remain aligned when scrolling the trace data.

The center text line is outlined to emphasize the Active Scroll Position.

The arrow token on the left side of the data also emphasizes the Active Scroll Position.

The Serial Bus Text view shows "converted" bus values. The Active Scroll Position is mapped to the raw signals in the other data views.

Each converted serial bus value normally requires many raw trace data samples. Likewise, each serial bus text line may be separated by large amounts of time in the trace data.

The effect is that scrolling one text line in the Serial Bus Text view often makes large scrolling movements in the other data views.
