Setup Summary

This Setup Toolbar button displays the active logic analyzer settings...

Project File

The active GL7 project file name.

Mode

The active sample mode.

Resolution

The active sample rate resolution. This value is the time between each logic analyzer sample point. This value affects the Timestamp Limit and Trace Span values.

Timestamp Limit

When Transitional Timing or Serial Bus Trigger mode is active, this value is the maximum elapsed time for each sample. If the input signals remain inactive for this time length, the logic analyzer automatically stores the sample with this maximum timestamp value.

Depth

The active sample depth. This value affects the Time Span values.

Trace Span (min)

When Normal Timing, Transitional Timing, or Serial Bus Trigger mode is active, this value is the minimum time-span for the entire trace capture. This value assumes that every sample in the trace matches the sample rate resolution.

Trace Span (max)

When Transitional Timing or Serial Bus Trigger mode is active, this value is the maximum time-span for the entire trace capture. This value assumes that every sample in the trace has an elapsed time matching the Timestamp Limit value.

Trigger

The active TriggerForm.

PreStore

The active PreStore which is a percentage of the active sample depth. The effective PreStore samples are also displayed.

Trigger Pre-fill (min)

When Normal Timing, Transitional Timing, or Serial Bus Trigger mode is active, this value is the minimum time from when the logic analyzer starts running to when the requested PreStore amount is filled and the trigger circuits become active. This value is defined by the PreStore percentage, the sample depth, and assumes that every sample's elapsed time matches the minimum Timestamp Limit (the sample resolution).

Trigger Pre-fill (max)

When Transitional Timing or Serial Bus Trigger mode is active, this value is the maximum time from when the logic analyzer starts running to when the requested PreStore amount is filled and the trigger circuits become active. This value is defined by the PreStore percentage, the sample depth, and assumes that every sample's elapsed time matches the maximum Timestamp Limit.

Trigger Timer (min)

The minimum active timer value in the TriggerForms. Any trigger timer less than this lower limit is disabled. This value is defined by the sample resolution.

Trigger Timer (max)

The maximum timer value allowed in the TriggerForms. This value is defined by the sample resolution.
