WaveForm: Line Edit Area

The Line Edit Area is on the left side of the WaveForm view. The Line Edit Area is used to configure each waveform line.

Edit All Lines

Select Channel Groups

Select the channel groups displayed in the pane.

All: Set Data View

Set Trace or Reference data view in all lines.

All: Set Default Line Height

Edit the default line height and resets all lines to that height.

All: Reset Heights

Reset all lines to the default height.

All: Expand

Expand all parent lines to show the component signals.

All: Collapse

Expanded parent lines are collapsed.

Add New Line

Adds a new line to the pane and shows the Setup Area.

Activity Indicators

When the activity indicators are enabled, the channel activity is visible on the left side of the Line Edit Area....

Line Buttons

Each waveform line has the following buttons...

If a line's edit button is blank, the line is empty and no data is displayed on the line. Otherwise, the button describes the channel group, serial bus, or scope channel displayed on the line.

An blank "add new line" button is always displayed at the bottom of the Line Edit Area.

Click on any line edit button to display the Setup Area.

Resize Line Edit Area

The overall width of the Line Edit Area can be adjusted so that long channel group names are fit inside the buttons...

Resize Buttons

Move the mouse over a line button's bottom edge. When the mouse cursor changes to the vertical resize icon, click and hold the mouse button. Drag the button height vertically and release the mouse button at the desired height.

Move the mouse over the Line Edit Area resize bar. When the mouse cursor changes to the horizontal resize icon, click and hold the mouse button. Drag the area width horizontally and release the mouse button at the desired width.

Drag-n-Drop Buttons

Click and hold the left mouse button over a setup button until the line is "lifted"...

Drag the line to the new location...

Release the mouse button to drop the line...
