Old Project Files |
The v6.00.0042 and earlier GoLogicXL project files use the *.XLP extension. |
The v5.48 and earlier GoLogic project files use the *.PRJ extension. |
The v7 software does NOT save older v5 and v6 project files. Only the new GL7 project files are saved. |
The v7 software can open v5 and v6 project files. |
Trace and Reference data from older v5 and v6 projects is imported into the latest v7 software without issues. |
The v7 software imports almost all setup values from older v5 and v6 projects. |
However, some v5 and v6 setup values are incompatible with the v7 software. |
The v7 software assumes default values for incompatible setup values. Sample modes, sampling rates, and even channel connections may not map directly into the v7 software. So always review the setup values after opening older v5 and v6 project files. |
For example, the older v5 and v6 software "child windows" were replaced by "Panes" in the v7 software. |
When opening older project files, the v7 software assumes a WaveForm and Numeric view are open. These views also assume all channel groups and serial buses are displayed. |
